An Engaging Museum

On April 26th, my mom and I visited the Oak Ridge Children’s Museum in Tennessee, which is another one of my mom’s childhood places. The first exhibit included a Mars playscape area and rocket that I played on for a while. Mom told me the “rock” climbing part used to be a slide when she was a kid. Another interesting place was the guard tower room, where pictures of spies were hidden for us to find.

My favorite part of the entire museum was the waterworks exhibit, which had a hands-on river lock system. While we were experimenting with the mini lock system, a small green boat continuously capsized by going over the waterfalls. The boat’s crew always had a doomed death!!! I would love to explore this museum again because it was more engaging than the American Museum of Science and Energy.
